The chameleon is a reptile and its body is covered by hard scales. It can change colour to camouflage to be safe from predators. It has got cone-shaped eyes that help it to see 360 degrees around it. It hasn't got any ears. It is carnivorous, it eats small birds, insects and small mammals. It hunts using its sticky, long tongue.

It lives up to 50 years. It can run fast, swim and climb in trees. It is carnivorous and it detects the prey with its tongue even at  10 kilometers away. It lives in Indonesia islands.
